Somerset House Virtual Tour

FORMAT.LDN developed a suite of elegant, non-intrusive infographics for a virtual site tour of Somerset House, designed to sit within an interactive DVD experience showcasing the venue’s spaces, facilities and surrounding locations.

Working from the established brand identity, the aim was to create a clear and consistent graphic language that could carry large amounts of information without overwhelming the viewer or competing with the architecture itself. Typography became a central part of the system, providing structure, hierarchy and continuity across the tour.

The key challenge was to communicate a high volume of practical information within a limited on-screen space, while ensuring the experience remained refined and visually engaging rather than repetitive. The result was a restrained but effective set of information graphics that supported the tour with clarity, rhythm and a strong sense of cohesion.
