Elton John – Diamonds

FORMAT.LDN collaborated once again with Noisebox Films on a series of animations created for the launch of Elton John’s greatest hits album, Diamonds.

Working closely with the record label and Elton’s management, we used the established graphic language and brand assets to build a cohesive set of motion pieces for a behind-the-scenes film exploring the creation of the album artwork. The aim was to extend the visual identity into motion in a way that felt polished, celebratory and fully aligned with the world of the release.

Alongside the animated work, we also contributed to the wider branding around the album and developed a series of illustrations for the commemorative box set. Each element was designed to honour Elton John’s iconic visual legacy while adding a more crafted and contemporary layer to the release.

The result was a body of work that moved fluidly between motion, branding and print, helping support the launch of Diamonds with a visual language that felt both distinctive and respectful of the artist’s long-established world.
