FORMAT.LDN collaborated on the launch creative for Sinatra The Musical, first exploring an early visual direction for the campaign before returning later in the process to rework the artwork following a new shoot with the lead actor. With the revised key art as a foundation, our role was to transform the static artwork into a motion-led screen asset with greater atmosphere, depth and theatrical presence.

Centred on Sinatra alone in a spotlight, the image already carried a strong sense of restraint and performance. We extended this through layers of volumetric smoke, drifting particles and fine dust, building a richer sense of movement and space around the figure. The aim was to push the piece beyond a poster treatment and closer to the feeling of a live moment — Sinatra on stage, suspended in haze, light and the energy of a late-night club. A subtle 3D light move across the title completed the animation, adding a final layer of polish and helping the composition feel fully alive on screen.

The result was a more cinematic interpretation of the artwork — one that retained the elegance of the original design while giving it added mood, motion and screen presence for the show’s wider launch campaign.
