For over 11 years, FORMAT.LDN has collaborated with AKA and the Society of London Theatre (SOLT) to create exceptional motion graphics and broadcast design for the prestigious MasterCard Olivier Awards.
The partnership began at the relaunch in 2011, marking the start of FORMAT.LDN’s work with AKA, which then seamlessly transitioned to direct collaboration with SOLT. From the very beginning, FORMAT.LDN has been at the forefront of designing and animating broadcast graphics, ensuring a cohesive and premium visual experience for the awards ceremony. This includes creating broadcast-ready nomination packages that integrate seamlessly with printed materials, ensuring consistency across all platforms, including social media.
Each year, FORMAT.LDN refines the ceremony’s visual elements, working closely with SOLT to fine-tune the graphics and animation. The team has gone through three major design revisions over the years, with each iteration adapting the motion graphics to complement the evolving stage and set design. This attention to detail ensures that the visuals stay fresh and aligned with the latest design trends and technical needs.
In addition to the main ceremony, FORMAT.LDN designs looped screens, transitions, and background visuals for performances. The team also develops social media stings and other supporting graphics to extend the event’s visual identity online, creating a unified, immersive experience for viewers across both live and digital platforms.
