Netflix – The Alienist

We were thrilled to be asked to create a digital background for the Netflix series; The Alienist. Taking inspiration and imagery from the official series title sequence, we developed and animated layers of atmosphere, smoke and clouds. Early versions were created with glitches, and interference, which would intermittently distort the background. We also created and animated the title treatments, with a smokey/whispy effect. This animated throughout adding another dynamic element to the background.
