We were absolutely delighted when Special Treats approached us with a unique opportunity to enhance the interview backgrounds for an exclusive series of films centred around the actors and their transformation into iconic members of the Royal Family for Season 5 of Netflix’ The Crown. Our task was to develop a vintage projection effect that would add an extra layer of authenticity and depth to the interviews.
Working closely with the team at Special Treats, we meticulously crafted over 50 backgrounds for the series, each one carefully designed to reflect the era and personality of the character being portrayed. From the opulent halls of Buckingham Palace to the intimate settings of private residences, our backgrounds transported viewers into the world of royalty.
In addition to creating these stunning backgrounds, we also provided expert clean-up for the chroma footage, ensuring that every frame was flawless and seamless. Our attention to detail and commitment to quality allowed the actors to truly immerse themselves in their roles, while providing a visually captivating experience for the audience.
The vintage projection effect we developed added a touch of nostalgia and elegance to the interviews, perfectly complementing the overall aesthetic of the series. It was a privilege to be part of this project and contribute to the storytelling of The Crown’s fifth season.
