Broadcast + Event Graphics
We were commissioned to develop and brand the 2011 relaunch of the MasterCard Laurence Olivier Awards. Working closely with the in-house design team at AKA Promotions to establish a strong continuity of branding throughout the ceremony. Using elements from the printed materials, we created, animated and edited 22 nomination packages, supporting lower thirds, winner chroma plates and interstitial graphics. In subsequent years this has evolved to include social stings and supporting graphic elements.
Over the years the design has evolved depending on the stage/set design. Taking into consideration the screens which were designed into the set. This has always been a multi-screen event so the graphics were carefully designed to seamlessly blend the main nomination content across the other screens. With animating curtains, looped screens, transitions and background graphics for performances and backdrops. These screens also animated independently, depending on the content and setup.
We have developed the awards and packages across 11 years from 2011 – 2023. These awards are also broadcast live on ITV so additional supporting graphics were created.
